    Drilling Waste Management

    In order to maximally recover the valuable drilling fluids and reduce the volume of waste discharge, the drilling contractors always adopt drilling waste management equipment to further treat the discharged waste cuttings.     The GN Vertical Cutting Dryer uses centrifugal force to dry drilled solids in oil or synthetic base fluids. The drilling cuttings is fed to the cuttings dryer from flow line shaker through screw conveyor. Then a stainless steel screen bowl traps “wet” solids and accelerates them up to 890RPM with G force up to 420. Liquid or the filtrate is forced through the screen bowl openings, while “dry” solids are extracted by the angled scrapers attached to the cone, which rotate slightly slower than the bowl. Tungsten carbide protects the scrapers from abrasive and ensures long operational life. This aids in maintaining a constant gap between the scroll and screen bowl, which is crucial for Vertical Cutting Dryer proper operation. GN Vertical cuttings dryer has been done strict balance testing for all major rotary components to minimize vibration & noisy. Complete integrated gearbox unit make it performance stable and easy for maintenance. The Cuttings Dryer is an ideal product for oil based drilling waste management.

    GN Vertical Cuttings Dryer fixed with individual oil lubrication system with automatic alarm for pressure limit. The procedure to run the equipment is firstly start the main motor and then oil pump motor. To avoid prior start the oil pump motor, it is designed interlocked for main motor and oil pump motor each other.

    GN Decanter Centrifuge for Drilling Waste Management

    GN high speed decanter centrifuge could be applied in dewatering unit for separating fine solids which can meet clients’ request for drilling waste management. The centrifuge can also be used to polish the drilling fluids recovered from the Vertical Cutting Dryer and send it back to active mud tanks.

    GN HI-G Dryer for Drilling Waste Management

    The GN Hi-G Dryer Shaker is with long shaker deck big capacity which is used for waste management to treat the drilling cuttings from the primary solids control equipments like shale shaker, desander & desitler that installed in the solids control mud tank to dry the solids for transportation, and make the fluids easier for further treatment. The function of the HI-G Dryer is similar as Vertical Cutting Dryer. Especially the Hi G dryer shaker has a good performance for WBM cuttings.


    Drilling Waste Management Processing Flow Line

    The waste cuttings discharged from the primary shale shaker and mud cleaner is delivered to the cuttings dryer or Hi G dryer shaker through screw conveyor or Vacuum pump. The filtrate and solid would be separated in the cuttings dryer and dryer shaker. The drier solids out from this 2 device would be environmental friendly to discharge directly or transported off-site for further treatment. The liquid is transferred by screw pump to the high speed centrifuge to remove the much fine solids. There may need flocculation process to let the extreme fine solid gather together for easy separation in decanter centrifuge.
